Honestly, I don’t have the patience and am to neurotic to develop the skill for stick burners or charcoal. It’s a lovely skill that I admire in others which I have almost completely given up on. My burners are NG fed so I’ll light up for most anything if it’s not a down pour of rain. ☔️

Now that we are empty nesters, I’ve noticed I don’t fire up the grill that much anymore. I don’t have a gasser so the time and effort to bbq or grill a small amount isn’t worth it. When we have guests I do. So I guess if I’m cooking for 4 or more I’ll do it. Something like that. 🤷♂️

JCBBQ I find myself using my Weber gas grill MUCH more frequently than my charcoal grills, with the reduced amount of cooking going on. If you don't have one, I highly recommend at least a small backyard gas grill to supplement your Primo and PBC. My Weber is ready to go in a few minutes, without the 30 minutes to get charcoal going, and I just shut off the knobs and go inside when done. No ash cleanup. Just make sure the drip pan does not overflow.

Richard Chrz I fully agree with you. I enjoy cooking in the kitchen and tend to when it is not nice outside. Over the weekend, the only item I cooked were "potato smashers" that someone on here introduced me to. Boil new potatoes, then smash into a pan with olive oil, drizzle the top, then season and bake (in the oven) until crisply. It was a good side with the leftover chicken from last Thursday...

jfmorris that might’ve been me…we make smashed potatoes all the time.
The other thing is leftovers, when the kids -especially my son- are around it doesn’t matter how much food I make. It’ll all get eaten. My wife is allergic to leftovers 🙄🙄
