I don't think I'm wrong here, but you need a connection to the internet for the AI to work right? So if the internet goes down you are screwed. Plus, they all mine your data over the internet. No thanks.
It's getting harder to buy any 'stupid' products. I purchased a new washer and dryer a couple of years ago and I was amazed at the majority of the appliances needed the internet.
Us, too. My w/d showed that I can start/stop it from an app. But I have to got to the appliances and choose that option. Every time. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

I can see where the fridge reading the store receipts would be helpful. At least you'd know what you've got at a glance. That would be helpful in the case of seasonings and spices, which I tend to lose track of.
As far as it making a shopping list, I can see that as well. But ordering for me, nah. Half the fun of going to the store is finding something on sale or in stock that I wasn't even planning on buying. Every now and again we run onto a good deal. Just depends.
Now, as far as an AI powered grill goes, I honestly prefer a hands-on approach to cooking outdoors. Other than setting the initial temp for something specific, that's about the only thing I'd bother having it do.
In a conversation with some friends everbody was all excited bout the new Apple update which screwed my phone up. All they talked bout wuz “you can use air tags”! I made the mistake of askin whut an air tag wuz. They showed me. Dumb question number two, what do you use em fer? The response was cacophonic with “you can put them on yer grandkids, yer wallet, yer phone and on and on, so’s ya don’t lose em.” I wondered, what did we do before we went mindless.
I've seen folks put them on their wallets, keys, etc. My solution to those is keep them in my pocket, or put them on my dresser at night! Boom. No lost keys or wallets. I agree - some people are now mindless.
Now, where are my reading glasses. Doh! I'm wearing them to type this!
As I travel a lot, I have quite a few stories from colleagues that report the were very useful in locating lost luggage.
One thing many people don't understand is that they are not magic. They require being in the proximity of another iPhone (anyone's) to send the location data back to Apple. In the middle of Arizona, they are of little use.
I am an Apple Air Tag fan and believer. I have them in my wallet, some travel cases, my SO's car (she forgets where she parks). I am getting up there in years and things get misplaced. The Apple Air Tags save me frequently as does the "Where's My Device" app on my phone. They are simple, easy to use, low maintenance and work great.
