If helping my mom as a kid counts then I have not made 6 of those. If all by myself then 14. All of the 14 are things I don’t like except for the fudge and icing. Never had a reason to make them.
I guess I live a sheltered and dull life. 😔

Random thoughts…

9. Meat and vegetables get cooked separately. One instance where the product is not greater than the sum of its parts. Not really a fan of beef stew either.
14. I make a jello salad that has a pretzel crust and strawberries that is delicious
18. eww. Why would I do that? Beans are gross.
25. Worked in restaurants in my younger days, but I don’t think that counts.
26. I’ve made dumplings, but not well. I buy dried ones from the Amish market nowadays
30. chocolate pudding, yes. Banana, no.

Regarding stew/pot roast: I’ve decided that there are vegetables that make the gravy, and vegetables that are eaten with the meat. Now I do the mirepoix with mushrooms, cook the roast, then strain that, and cook carrots and potatoes in the gravy for the last half hour. MUCH better.

14 Just say no to jello salad, its the food of terrorists
19 I don't eat greens, might have helped cook them at Thanksgiving but don't remember
25 The most I've cooked for is 20-25
30 I want to, just haven't yet. Love good banana pudding
35 Never made jam or jelly, lots of friends give it to me

34? - not myself but helped dad make ice cream from scratch as a kid

I still remember when I asked the stupidest question of my life. I was visiting my future wife, it was Winter, and she at the time was teaching in northern Canada in a remote village. Her provided housing was a cabin with an outhouse. I sat down, we talked, and then I noticed something strange propped up next to the heater. “Why,” I asked, “Do you have a toilet seat sitting next to your heater?”

14. Made a Jell-O salad? I’ve made jell-o with fruit in bottom, but not those yucky jell-o salads from years past.

37. Made a pot of grits? Same as 19, no reason to have made them yet. Mom always thought they were yuck.
