Our youngest grandchild is working hard preparing our Easter meals. It will be unique and interesting I’m sure.

Doing a mess of burgers. Grinding up a bunch of chuck roasts for some 1/4 pound patties I will cook up on the Blackstone. If I feel frisky I might grind in a bit of brisket trim fat to up the fat content of the burgers. We have about 35 eating so I will probably plan on 60 patties. I just wanted a small family gathering but we kept hearing of people from our church that didn't have any family in town and didn't have anywhere to go so the numbers kept climbing.

I would prefer just to graze through an Easter basket all day.

I was trusted with bread for my mother in law’s family gathering today.

Had planned to smoke a bone-in lamb leg but forecast is for continuing downpours through Sunday. So will pivot and make a non-traditional braised pork shoulder indoors. These endless rainy weekends are really cutting into our outdoor cooking.

We originally were not really planning anything special for Easter; funny how things change with 1-2 phone calls!

Looks like 15-20 folks will be here on Sunday....really glad I made it to CostCo this afternoon

parent’s are making breakfast tacos!!!!!! you know I’m excited for that!
sister is making a sausage, gravy and biscuit casserole….and that’s gonna be excellent!
and wife and I - I made cinnamon rolls, gonna make some bacon and brining a few sides to dress up Bloody Mary’s!

and…I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sample the cinnamon rolls tonight

ID:	1576952 I double smoked and glazed the ham as per meatheads ultimate recipe. I cut corners on the glaze as I’m not a fan of apricot nor the recipe for that glaze. Family liked it. I thought it was OK. I’m not a huge fan of ham.
