What is your go-to comfort food when you are sick?

I am still in the throes of this cold or whatever it is, so I ordered what is my absolute hands-down favorite comfort food when sick: General Tso's chicken and Hot and Sour Soup from a local Chinese place. (888 for those in the Houston area.)

This still is so soothing....especially the soup. And for a few minutes I actually feel quasi-normal.

So what is your go-to comfort food dish when feeling under the weather?

Well I haven’t been sick for over 2 years now excluding that one time with the c word over Christmas 2021. I guess WFH has its benefits.

I guess I’d vote for a nice grilled cheese sandwich. Or if it is breakfast, simple scrambled eggs with heavily buttered homemade bread.

Try some Mayo instead of butter and a little shredded cheese on the outside (pan side) for a crunchy crust.

Grilled cheese with Campbell's Tomato Soup to dunk it in, comfort plus nostalgia.

Mine is usually soup. Pho if I can get it, otherwise homemade chicken soup of some kind.

Depends on how sick ... I generally start with dry (or lightly buttered) toast then work up through chicken soup, scrambled egg sandwiches, and eventually grill cheese sammies.

I was thinking soup as well. Pho, Tom Kha Gai, or chicken noodle. But your choice sounds great too.

Oatmeal or grits for a breakfast. Bananas with peanut butter or grilled cheese sandwich for all other times.

I’m going to allow this as a second place behind klflowers prescription of bourbon. Cuz really of the 2, I believe this has the higher medical value. But I still prefer his.

Spagettios w/francs and frito corn chip scoops as my spoon. Closing in on 60 orbits and it is still my go to food when I am sick.

When I’m sick I for some reason crave sweets??? So it’s cake, donuts…even pancakes with peanut butter and maple syrup make my go to list.
