Almost the same. Hot and Sour soup. Extra hot and spicy.
And Shrimp and Lobster sauce. No peas, also hot and spicy.

The thing about drinkin' booze is that if ya drink enough, you won't even care that you're sick.

Campbell's original chicken noodle soup. Sometimes with saltines, sometimes with rye toast and butter or PB&J.

                      I second this nomination!
I absolutely love rye toast especially with seeds.

I often crave tomato sauces when sick, and my stomach rarely bothers me, so pasta with a red sauce, pizza, lasagna, tomato soup are all go-tos for me.

                        When I’m sick, I want… more.
No kidding. For some reason I just get hungry and anything seems good.

I'm not all that sick. Recovering from a bad reaction to a new heart med (I do NOT recommend a swollen liver) and I'm now a bit "off" despite a negative test that shall not be mentioned. Isolating anyway. Especially since my wife is having all her students over for dinner tonight. A vegan and several vegetarians in that group, so I'm not grilling but just making a big pasta salad with a balsamic vinaigrette to leave in the fridge while I go to the back of the house and watch the Rays.

Working with what's on hand, I just put out the bone and about the last 3/4 pound or so of some double smoked ham frozen in April. Tomorrow that gets cooked all day with a pound of Rancho Gordo pintos. Will wind up somewhere between straight ham and beans and some sort of bean soup. I'll probably let it get pretty thick.

Some of that will get split off for the elderly neighbors. We share a handyman, and John is staying with them now while the 100 year old is in the final stages of home hospice care. The family really enjoyed some of the ham I sent them in April, so I'm thinking at least the wife and sister (and John) will dig into this repeat.

My wife's homemade chicken noodle soup, she puts cayenne and lemon in it, so good. That or a big sloppy Dave's Double from Wendy's, or KFC or Taco Bell. And beer if I have a sore throat.
