Pulled beef is better. But since it has so much more flavor, it is something that is not as satisfying to eat on a regular basis. Pulled pork is (I'm about to step in it here) more of a blank canvas for sauce and fixings. Pulled beef is a complete composition.

Maybe a blank canvas with a background of smoke? I love a grilled pork chop or seared piece of tenderloin but I can't say that I've ever purposefully eaten pulled pork without any sauce or embellishments. To your point, there are now some bbq places here in NC that will serve smoked whole hog bbq and let you slather the sauce of your choice on it.

rickgregory Notwithstanding the subjective nature of this topic and people’s taste, in general, it would lend itself to a proper evaluation by a sample of Pit members. Since you obviously prefer pulled beef you can represent that camp and another, equally worthy chef representative for the pork camp, would need to be chosen. I suggest you extend invitations to a random sample of open-minded Pit members posting on this thread to descend on your place to effect said evaluation. I’ll be your first volunteer. 😎😋
