Additionally, there’s meatless brisket that permits Texans to enjoy all the smoky flavor of their national food without the beef. This plant-powered protein features jackfruit, seasoned with vegan beef stock, red miso paste, tahini, vegan Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and an assortment of spices. It is then topped with vegan barbecue sauce to complete the experience.

ofelles your California out reach is killing my property taxes. The folks from California are moving here and paying full asking price on nice homes. That drives the taxable value of my home through the roof. Property taxes have doubled in 3 years.
spent a few hours in Austin, there's some cool stuff as a result of the "weird" culture, and I am not opposed to neighborhoods being full of different houses... BUT, I would never live there. It's like the part of San Fran where most of my family lived, but even more extreme. The only other place I've been to like that was Portland... I'm happy living in the sticks

I'm on board with butchering veggies. When it comes to tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, onions, garlic, etc. I'm a regular serial killer all summer long...
Butcher- 1. A person that slaughters animals or dresses their flesh. 2. A dealer in meat.
Legumier chef- someone who chops/cuts vegetables.
None of this meatless butcher cwap. Nuff said.
Yes I know Nuff.
Moral of this story: Ya can play with words all ya want, you can also put lipstick on a pig and it is a pig. Somebody who works with meat, is a butcher. Somebody who slices & chops veggies is, well, a legumier, some little French name fer a carrot cutter. Not that there is anything wrong with the French. ✌ï¸😎🤔

I’ve heard jackfruit "pulled pork" is pretty decent. I’ve got a few Veggies in my family that I keep meaning to make that for. Haven’t gotten around to it yet.
It is. Use the canned stuff (Asian markets have it usually). Jackfruit has no real taste, but the texture is close to pulled pork. There's a bunch of recipes out there and it assumes you sauce it too but we usually do that for pulled pork, so...
remember that it has no fat, so you need to add some in order for it to have the right mouthfeel.
