Pairing ribs and a crawfish boil?

My niece is having her first birthday in a couple weeks and my sister decided to have a crawfish boil in order to celebrate. She asked me if I can bring some ribs to cater to the people that aren't very big seafood and fish fans. Unfortunately I am one of those people. So my question is what flavor profile would go well with crawfish, in case some guests want both? Pork ribs? Beef ribs? Is there a good dry rub or BBQ sauce that would pair really well with a crawfish boil that you can think of?

I can think of three things that would work........ wibs, wibs and more wibs!

Wouldn't worry about "pairing" just makem and watch them disappear.

I'd do pork ribs dusted in either Old Bay or Zatarans crab boil, I think either would be fine on ribs just would serve sauce on the side. Not much different than the sausage in a traditional boil. Beef ribs would be to beefy in my opinion, but could still work.

I've never been to a crawfish boil but I'm guessing they're on the spicy side and a lot of flavors going on? So maybe keep the pork ribs simple. Salt, pepper, garlic smoked over hickory. No rubs. Let the smoke do it's thing

You could just boil the ribs with the crawfish.....

Of all people Trout. You should know better than that. You boil them separately. Liquid smoke does not taste good on crawfish.

I thought people were banned from this website for making comments like that. :-)

Wibs, and I wouldn’t worry about the paring up with the fishy stuff. Have em stand on their own. I suspect the make of the swim ware victuals should be worried that the Wibs don’t just shine over everything & get gobbled up big time.

Ribs are like beer, they pair with anything. Unlike wine with all those complicated rules! LOL

I agree with ItsAllGoneToTheDogs typical Louisiana crawfish boils include corn, potatoes and sausage. So think sausage seasoning.
