    Rack of lamb

My local Harris Teeter had two racks of lamb on sale today. The sell by date is today 8/2. The meat is good and pink and they are each packaged tightly in cryovac. Each one was under 5 bucks marked down from $30. There is no package date that I can see on the label. I'm thinking it was worth the gamble, but before I freeze/ or eat what do you guys and gals think? Good deal or rotten banana? Would you eat them now or freeze them for a special occasion?

Sounds like a deal to me. I wouldn't eat it because I don't like lamb, but if it was a brisket I woudn't hesitate.

If you are unsure about that lamb, take it to Fedex, address to me, I'll pay you for the overnight shipping, and take it off your hands.

There you go buddy, saved your life. Not even going to charge you for it.

Eat it now, or freeze it (or send one to ecowper and one to me!), but, definitely make sure it gets cooked and eaten. That is a great deal on a couple of racks of lamb. I'm a huge fan of that particular cut of meat. Enjoy!

I would go for it. That is a great price, and if you get it home and it turns out funky take it back. My local HT is pretty good about taking things back if they are off.

I wouldn't go near that if it was marked with that date in a supermarket in Oz 😂😂😂😂

If it went bad, you'll known as soon as you open the bag.

Go for it, freezing is fine if you don't cook them now. Great find.

Buy all that they have and stock your freezer.
