      Looking good! I’m a fan - as I’m sure many here are - of making things from scratch. One day I’d like to add sausage to my list. Can’t wait to see what else you create!

        Did you have to add any fat to that?

        I have only made sausages a couple of times and both times they came out extremely dry. I am guessing I cooked too hot and didn't have enough fat in my mixture.

          Probably not enough fat. Use 20-30% fat. A pork butt is about the right amount of fat!

          Yes, I added some beef fat that I had in the freezer.

          Started making my own sausage last year, too. You never go back to the store! I am no good with making my own recipes, but there are some mixes out there that i like.
