Back in January, I started this thread:
https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/forum/the-pit-mastery-program/hot-dogs-and-sausages/265153-frustrated-with-grinder-looking-for-assistance
I was frustrated with a film forming and blocking holes in the grinder plate. I got a lot of advice and, due to work, life, etc, have been unable to try them - until today.
I just finished grinding 5lbs of pork for bratwurst using all the advice I got.
IT WAS THE EASIEST THING I'VE EVER DONE!
I flew through the meat using the coarse plate in about two minutes, then (because the recipe calls for fine) switched to the fine plate and ground it with that.
NOT A SINGLE HOLE WAS BLOCKED ON EITHER PLATE.
It was SO easy!
Thank you everyone!
I will post pictures of the sausages tomorrow before and after I cook a couple for lunch.
This just shows what an incredible resource this website is.....
