Panhead John beat me to it. These are legit! The Texas Heritage dogs are all I buy now. I'm about 50/50 these brisket ones and the jalapeño ones. They have a cheddar one as well and I keep hoping they come out with a cheddar/jalapeño one as that would be killer.
They are a little pricey, but I have found they go on sale quite often (although strangely never really advertised in the weekly ad).
My favorite all time hot dog is Sahlen’s Natural Casing. Made in Buffalo, NY. Pork and beef. Great flavor. We grab some every time we go back and visit family in WNY.
We do have a delicious local natural casing hotdog here in Ohio. Walnut Creek hot dogs are my go to when I’m out of Sahlen’s.
Now for some hot dogs that are interesting and different I love me some Zweigle’s Red and White Pops.
I was born in Rochester (NY) and grew up eating Zweigle’s pop opens. Many great memories cooking them with skewers. They are absolutely fantastic. However, if I had to vote, Sahlen’s are better. Not a replacement! But better.
