I loved the Nathan's sold in NY. They had natural casings and the dogs had a nice snap when ya bit into them. The ones sold now in central VA that have no casing are not nearly as good.

Luckily, my Publix carries the natural casing Nathan's. I prefer natural casings.

So they have narrowed it down to 5 winners. Boars Head, Dietz & Watson, Sabrett, Hebrew National, Nathens. I'm so glad we have another hot dog thread.

Didn’t watch the video but any ranking that includes skinless hot dogs are null and void in my book.

among the major brands I typically go for Boars Head as they amongst the few widely available natural casing dogs out there and they are really good to boot. I like really sabretts dogs but cant find the natural casing dogs in supermarkets

PGH_RAM Mentioned Costco’s Kirkland Brand hot dogs as being pretty good dogs, especially for the price. Well, look what popped up in my YouTube feed this morning……..Pretty interesting video about Costco and their dogs.

If Costco didn't limit it's hot dog toppings toppings to just must mustard.

Harry Soo compiled an Hot Dog taste test comparison from various store bought Hot Dog brands (10) found at Wal Mart. This is a low budget review done in a hotel room probably using a microwave oven as the heating source. Take it for what it's worth.

To me hot dogs are like pizza a little bit because everyone has their own opinion of what is the best. Put 10 people in a room tasting these types of foods and you’ll get 10 different opinions/rankings. Hey. If you like it, eat it! Right? 😊🤣
