12. Haven’t been to Jack in the Box since high school and never been to White Castle sober, but I counted both anyway.

Only 5 here, must live a sheltered life. Last time at Jack In The Box was early seventies during College Daze, talking to Jack at 11 pm in an altered state.

I have been to 15 of them, and many of which I don't recall what the burger was like (but that should tell you something). Of all these Carls' Jr. used to have the best burgers if they were made fresh. Haven't been to one in a few years. These days we usually go to In N Out, I like the burgers but the buns suck. I also like their fries if you eat them right there. If you take them home they turn to cardboard.

I didn't notice that Carl's changed to Carl's. It used to be Carls' Jr., because in Anaheim (where they started) there was originally a Carls full restaurant. Then they launched the fast food version - a junior version of the big restaurant. So originally it was Carls' Jr.

10 for me. Five Guys is the one we frequent most which is not often.
Red Robin is meh, Freddy’s was decent but the restaurant itself was so gross I’ll never go back.
We used to have a Wayback near us about 15 years ago. I liked their burgers but I guess nobody else did because they weren’t around long. I’m certainly guilty of grabbing some Mickey D’s on occasion. They food is crap, but it hasn’t changed from when I was a kid so it’s a nostalgia thing. I can’t remember the last time I had BK, but can remember in the 80s they used to have the occasional .49 cheeseburger deal. My buddies and I would roll in there all tuned up and get 20 or 30 of them…lol

22” Blue Weber Kettle with SnS insert
Kamado Joe Jr with Kick Ash Basket
Char-Broil Smartchef Tru Infrared Gasser
Anovo Hot Tub Time Machine with Custom Hot Tub
Oh God! I’ve been to 21! In my defense, I worked for #5 for 9 years and we ate at competition places all the time. Also, I traveled to several states doing POS installs. So between fast meals and airport layovers, you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.
agree with others that have stated that some chains are not burger chains, but have a decent burger. Of course, nothing beats one cooked at home with friends and family. No ketchup needed 🤪🤪🤪

I’ve been to 20, and even though I’ve had more frozen White Castle burgers from the market than I can count, I’m not saying 21 since I’ve never been to a physical location.
There are definitely changes I’d make to this order, but the most glaring error is Steak n Shake…it’s Top 10 for sure, and likely Top 5.

Since I haven’t been to a physical loc I can’t say how they compare, but for a quick freezer meal…tough to complain about a burger that can go from freezer to plate in 60 seconds.

klflowers -- My Mom is a White Castle lover living in Wisconsin, where there are no stores. She likes the frozen but has an elaborate process for heating them. Basically, she separates the buns and the burger patty and microwaves them gently.

I think I’ve been to 12. Though only 1-2 in top 10. I like Culver’s melts far more than regular butter burgers, think five guys is awful, and our local steak ‘n shake has been trash. I had fond memories of a steak ‘n shake a couple hours away though. Red Robin’s chili-chili cheeseburger is good, but it might be only thing I’ve eaten there with the special fries. Really want to hit an In-n-Out someday. I do like white castle though, jalapeño cheddar sliders can definitely hit and the onion peels are ok too. I’m probably weird, but I do like a Big Mac, especially the double they did for a limited time a couple years ago. Minced onions and special sauce are perfect compliments to thin burger patties, though I definitely miss the pre vegans crying days fries there. Grow some balls Ronald and give us back the good fries. Now that you dropped salads how many vegans/vegetarians do you really serve?
