    This one was a disappointment. Perhaps it's partly because we went from Lo's (above) across the street over to here to have this, and Lo's simply blew it out of the water. I guess it must have been the plantain, but it tasted like potatoes to me and gave it a bland flavor. There was also no difference in textures among all the elements of this burger. When we eat these burgers, we split them in half so we have room for more burgers. We both threw away half of our portions. 6/10

      This was a nice departure from most of the other burgers. I especially liked the pickled apple slices. The other people I was with seemed to think it was too sweet, and one guy thought it needed something else, like blue cheese. But I liked it. 8/10

        My wife had high hopes for this one. I would not say it disappointed, but it didn't blow us away either. The crunchy pickles were nice, but the tomato was bland so we discarded it. I was happy to see they had a drink special, which used to be the norm for burger week. Jim Beam is a sponsor, so I got the "Bud Heavy with Jim Beam" for $10. 7.5/10

          Two local beef patties from Fulton Provision Co., pepper bacon, sharp cheddar, pepper jack, and garlic aioli on an egg-wash brioche bun from Dos Hermanos Bakery.

              Peachy Keen Burger - Loyal Legion


              What's on it...
              1/4lb beef patty smothered in house-made bourbon-peach jalapeño jam topped with smoked provolone and arugula on a brioche bun

              What they say...
              The inspiration behind this burger was from long-time employee Mel, who makes a killer jam. This particular creation celebrates our favorite summer stone fruits, and packs a punch with the addition of jalapeños. Melted, smoky provolone and the peppery crunch of arugula makes this burger one for the books.

                The Beast and Cheddar - Farmer and the Beast

                6oz Medium-Rare burger with Cheddar N' Onion Cheese, Chipotle-Q sauce, and Crispy Onion Strings on a Franz bakery bun

                What they say...
                Everybody loves an (Arby's) Beef N' Cheddar. We thought that doing this in thick burger form would be a nice fun way to spend Burger Week.

                This was one of the best burgers. This is how you do a cheese sauce the right way. I would have liked more of it. I had never been to this food cart or the food cart pod, so it was a great discovery for me. I'll be back to try their regular burger offerings and to sample some of the other carts. The bar cart there was excellent. I had a Mezcal Old Fashioned. 9/10

                  That concludes my reporting from Portland Burger Week 2025. I had 12 burgers in 7 days, and somehow lost 1 pound. Sadly, it looks like it'll be a while before the next event. Weiner Week is in January, Dumpling Week is in February, Sandwich Week will be in March, Pizza Week is in April, and Nacho Week is usually in June.

                    Ok. I’ll toss one in just for the heck of it. 😁
                    This was a 1lb patty, if you can call it a patty, with the traditional fixins and 4 slices of a 3 pepper Colby/jack cheese.
