    Here we go, cheeseburgers two ways!

    Love doing these no-flip burger's on my Chimp. 275F Pro Mode the entire way. Apply cheese at ~150 F or so. And the seasoning is Meat Church's Holy Cow. Patties were 0.6 lb each. (Using a scale here helps the burgers cook evenly.)

    Hers: Buttered, toasted brioche bun, with Miracle Whip, romaine, beef, swiss cheese, bread & butter pickles, and top bun with Miracle Whip.

    His: Buttered, toasted brioche bun, with mayo (Duke's), romaine, beef, sharp cheddar, red onion, dill pickles, and top bun with mustard (Whataburger's).

      lol....the Miracle Whip wasn't on mine! I don't really like the stuff. I have yet to find anything for which I would prefer that over actual mayo.

    My entry: Locally raised beef, home-cured bacon, gruyere frico, American cheese, grilled onion, pickles, aioli, balsamic cat soup, and iceberg lettuce accompanied by homemade cheeps and a Coke, no Pepsi!!

      SheilaAnn a local burger joint makes a cheddar frico burger that is amazing. They must use 2 cups of cheese to make it and it spreads out to just about cover a dinner plate. I haven't figured out exactly how they do it, but I tinker from time to time. I'm beginning to think they grill it on the side then use a giant spatula or 2 to scoop it up and lay it over the burger. They are expensive little boogers, but a nice occasional treat.

    There were definitely some magazine worthy burgers in this topic. Y'all did well! Pat yourselves on the back, go buy yourselves a cheap trophy and display it proudly until next year. Now, what does Hallmark have in store for today, Monday, September 19, 2022?

    Since there are no rules, I chose not to post any pics of my first attempt at a Jucy Lucy. Total failure. I apparently didn’t seal up the edges well enough and all the cheese dripped out on the grill. Ah well, there’s always next time.

      This was actually from 11 years ago after a 14 hour shift and several beers. If I remember correctly that was two patties, six slices of bacon, six slices of cheese, and a spicy smoked sausage. Not generally the kind of thing you want to be eating at midnight, but when bedtime is 4 AM and all you've eaten all day is a Hot Pocket, well...
