That's a fantastic treatise of major yumminess. Thank you also for the link to the book. The book now resides on my hard drive. We all appreciate the work you have done and documented. Well done and kudos!

I would like to be able to say that I worked for years developing my ice cream talents but, I didn't. When i decided i wanted to make my own ice cream i bought three ice cream books. The B&J, Williams-Sonoma, and "The Perfect Scoop" by David Lebovitz. The B&J is my favorite and the recipes are great.
We have company coming over after dinner to night and the wife is going to serve brownies with peppermint ice cream with some hot fudge on top. I got to figure out how to make hot fudge. So Google here I come. Maybe some pics later.

Is that a chicken in your ice cream? :-) LOL
Hhmmmm, Maybe it's a Spatchcocked Peppermint Ice Cream. Will that work??
The weird thing is I cooked a spatchcocked chicken last night and another one in halves. The halves was supposed to be spatchcocked but I cut through the sternum first thinking it was the back. So I just cut the back out and made halves. I am sure that I am the only person in the world that has done that!!

Great idea for Xmas gifts! Premium vanilla is quite pricy.
We have looked for fresh vanilla beans like you show from Madagascar and Mexico for other recipes and have not been able to find them.
I think Whole Foods said they could order them, but for some reason they are scarce around here.
We ended up ordering on line I believe.
That is why I order from Beanilla.com. I think my shipping was free. It came USPS in an envelope/bag.

I just ordered your ice cream maker and the B&J book from Amazon for the wife for Xmas. Unfortunately no guaranteed delivery before Xmas on the ice cream machine, so I'll have to wrap a picture of it. Lol.
She had asked for the ice cream making attachment for the KitchenAid, but after your review I went with your recommendation. I have a lazy streak myself. Thanks for the tip brother man!!Last edited by HC in SC; December 19, 2014, 04:15 AM.

Probably not. This is something that has been on her Xmas list the past few years - well, the Kitchen Aid attachment, anyway. Hopefully this gets me major brownie points.
I am sure I will be her shadetree sous chef though, and I have no problem with that.Last edited by HC in SC; December 19, 2014, 04:16 AM.
