A while ago, I bought a Ninja Creami deluxe. I was probably influenced by chefchrisyoung and his video comparing it to the PacoJet. If you are curious watch his video I am not going to recap the magic of it here. Also if you are seriously interested you should watch these two crazy keto’s that worship Ninja Creami - mostly so they can make keto chow ice cream in it. Their video’s are informative and well produced, even if their diet is a not for you - woudl help you decide which model you want.
Ice cream is a favorite dessert, but I really can’t handle the milk, heavy cream is fine. I prefer it made from canned coconut milk along with beef gelatin to reduce ice crystal formation, sugar and/or monk fruit powder, and whatever else I want. So I saw this as a promise to do exactly what I wanted. And it has delivered.
Unique to the deluxe is a bigger container than the standard, the ability to mix half a container instead of the whole thing and a few more settings for italian ice, blended cocktails, milkshake etc. For non dairy ice cream you use the light ice cream setting and you may need to mix a couple times. You can add “mix in’s” after the fact and one of my favorites is to make a vanilla and mix in frozen cherries, toasted walnuts, and chocolate chips.
And yes, it’s loud AF. Everyone puts on ear protection when we run it. This does prevent me from grabbing a spoonful after bedtime as there is no discrete way to use it. I have included some pics from last night’s spins strawberry and chocolate. Both made with a mix of coconut and pistachio milk, cane sugar, beef gelatin and, 1/4 cup of cocoa, or blended frozen strawberries respectively. I will add more pics of my frozen desserts to this thread as I make them. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I had been able to dramatically reduce the sugar in my ice cream and the congestion that I get when I have something with milk in it. The kids really love it too! 🍨🍦🔥🔥🐿️
