Ninja Creami Deluxe - the screaming drill press that makes dessert

A while ago, I bought a Ninja Creami deluxe. I was probably influenced by chefchrisyoung and his video comparing it to the PacoJet. If you are curious watch his video I am not going to recap the magic of it here. Also if you are seriously interested you should watch these two crazy keto’s that worship Ninja Creami - mostly so they can make keto chow ice cream in it. Their video’s are informative and well produced, even if their diet is a not for you - woudl help you decide which model you want.
Ice cream is a favorite dessert, but I really can’t handle the milk, heavy cream is fine. I prefer it made from canned coconut milk along with beef gelatin to reduce ice crystal formation, sugar and/or monk fruit powder, and whatever else I want. So I saw this as a promise to do exactly what I wanted. And it has delivered.
Unique to the deluxe is a bigger container than the standard, the ability to mix half a container instead of the whole thing and a few more settings for italian ice, blended cocktails, milkshake etc. For non dairy ice cream you use the light ice cream setting and you may need to mix a couple times. You can add “mix in’s” after the fact and one of my favorites is to make a vanilla and mix in frozen cherries, toasted walnuts, and chocolate chips.
And yes, it’s loud AF. Everyone puts on ear protection when we run it. This does prevent me from grabbing a spoonful after bedtime as there is no discrete way to use it. I have included some pics from last night’s spins strawberry and chocolate. Both made with a mix of coconut and pistachio milk, cane sugar, beef gelatin and, 1/4 cup of cocoa, or blended frozen strawberries respectively. I will add more pics of my frozen desserts to this thread as I make them. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I had been able to dramatically reduce the sugar in my ice cream and the congestion that I get when I have something with milk in it. The kids really love it too! 🍨🍦🔥🔥🐿️

My daughter has one, and it does make some nice frozen deserts. I almost bought one when the deluxe was on sale for $99 at Sam's last summer, but went back the next day and they were all sold out. Next time I saw it $170 or whatever was too much for me, and I passed... kicking myself for NOT getting it the day they did have some on sale...

After the massive popularity of the SodaStream and the kids’ use for “soda”, I definitely do not need this one to feed their sugar addiction. But it does looks very cool. Nice review.

Sabrina got me one of these, I have used it a few times. It is great fun to use and It is really cool to add all kinds of ingredients to make it your own.

I started the Hard75 challenge last week, so this baby is gonna be collecting dust until June 20th.

Yep, two separate workouts per day. At least one must be outside, no matter what the weather is like. Rain, snow, shine…..gotta get it in. The water is easy. I drink a quart when I wake up, one after each workout and then the fourth quart goes down pretty easy through out the day. Mosca

My hat is off to you! Even when I’m exercising, I have to force myself to take even just a couple swallows. I try to get 160 minutes a week of heart rate between 120 and 130, including one or two sessions of resistance training. I figure it keeps me from dying, it’s something to do, it gets me out of the house, etc. I can’t say it’s hard, but I can’t say I like it, either. I guess I can say that when I’m halfway done with a session, I don’t want to feel like a quitter so I finish it.

About the noise......it does take me back to my days at Dairy Queen when I was a kid. It really does sound like the Blizzard machine when fires up. But it is so cool to watch it run.

BTW, chocolate ice cream, cream cheese, peanut butter and Oreos are unmatched in that thing. Literal fat kid crack. Guilty

    That's some incredible deliciousness.
I scream ... more unfair play from the pit. I dare not elaborate on how I go about making ice cream and with what ingredients.
I've convinced myself not to get upset because owning equipment like that would just be too noisy (◠‿・)

I just got one! Still figuring it out. In trying to make some Keto ice cream I tried Greek yogurt. It wasn't good. Will check out the videos and see what to do next. Thanks and have fun!

I'm actually interested in the Ninja - I'll have to watch for a sale. I posted the MultiMixer more as a joke but it does make good milkshakes and malts, and it weighs a ton!

          K here goes:
Basic Base Recipe for chocolate (omit cocoa for vanilla)- combine the following in a saucepan to heat and dissolve gelatin
1 can full fat coconut milk
          1 tsp beef gelatin
1/4 cup cane sugar or substitute at proper ratio compared to sugar
1 tsp vanilla paste (whatever vanilla you have)
          1/4 cup cocoa powder
pour into your container and top off to fill line with whole milk or substitute. If making a fruit flavor top off with fruit puree. If making matcha add 2tbsp of matcha to base. Your immersion blender may be helpful. I am still refining the recipe’s. You will need to mix these twice. I find a full mix to be more effective than the remix button. Have fun and post pics. 🔥🔥🐿️

My recipe is intentionally light on sugar. You could double sugar and still be less than comparable pints at the store. Also creami ice cream may not taste as sweet because less air is incorporated compared to churn and it’s colder as a result. See Chris Young video link above for full explanation/contrast with churn method 🔥🔥🐿️ YMMV

Very coincidental, one of my coworkers was just talking about this a couple hours ago. She doesn't have one, but a friend of hers does and they used it over the weekend. The friend makes ice cream from protein powders and all kinds of things. I am quite addicted to gelato, and to coconut yogurt and coconut ice cream. Would be fun to do this myself, using coconut milk also. Now I just need to make more space in the kitchen....

Yeah!! I have tried making protein powder ice cream and I used too light a “milk” (I used water) and couldn’t get a creamy texture. But I found pistachio milk at Costco that is super fatty with hardly any carbs and I am going to try again with that. The keto chow folks use 4 tbsp of melted butter with their shake which is not what I’m going for but they achieve a very creamy texture. 🔥🔥🐿️

MsTwiggy cool! Costco is my spirit animal, and I have Thursday off after an early doc appt. I have a list, will add pistachio milk, and also add the NC to list to make sure Costco doesn't have some crazy sale before I sidestep to amazon. Thank you

Ice cream is my kryptonite. Along with pastrami, Texas bbq juice, Ranch Gordo beans and qvq chuck roast. Ice cream predates those, and it was the one thing that the pit hadn't influenced. Now this. Dang you MsTwiggy
