Having seen a handful of recipes and videos online for smoked bourbon pecan pie, I am going to attempt cooking one on my OKJ Bronco. That is if I can get the bourbon to pour into a measuring cup and not into my throat. So, I would like to know if I should use my cast iron pans or can I use a regular glass pie plate? Also if anyone has any helpful tips please share. Thanks in advance!
You'll be fine with a glass pie plate since you won't be using high temps (high temps would burn the crust anyways, especially on a cast iron pan). So yeah, use the glass pie plate.
