I always has me a Plan B, C, an D handy, at least, on accounta Life can sometimes fluctuate...
P.S. Pro Tip: If'n/when I whup up my own, I toss in a lil dab/smidge of vanilla extract.

I've done this one https://www.seriouseats.com/how-to-m...-pie-slideshow and I think you could add 1/4c of bourbon to the filling, perhaps reducing liquid a bit by eliminating an egg whites
On second thought... I'd soak the crushed pecans in the bourbon, THEN add it all.
