I love it too. What's funny to me is my wife gave me a blind taste test between Duke's and Burman's (an Aldi brand) and I picked Burman's. I was humbled because I swore Duke's was the king. Lol, both great mayos.

Guess it’s time for the triangle test to see if it really stacks up.

Hmm, maybe I’m not crazy for using Burman’s instead of Hellman’s!

I like Burman's, too, but I like Duke's more. What I've found myself doing is using Burman's for everyday stuff, and I use Duke's for salads/coleslaw.

None of the above. On rare occasion when I have a hankerin I will do Kenji’s Food Lab version with Avacado oil. But again, rarely.

Reading this thread at breakfast made me run to the fridge and grab the Dukes to put some on my egg sandwich! Even though I only had three bites left. I’m a fan.

@smokenood Good thing today wasn't my yogurt or cereal day! Although, I'm sure Dukes would improve both. 😂

DTro I just recently had mayo on an egg sandwich. For years, I thought it would be gross. It’s not. 🙌🏼

SheilaAnn a dash of dijon is my go to for an egg sammie but every once and then, I get that egg salad crave.

It’s good. Our brand is Kraft, that’s the only one Mrs Mosca will use. I tried them side by side, and while I prefer Dukes, there really isn’t a lot of difference. I grew up on Hellman’s, and it’s pretty different from Kraft and Duke’s.

I've tried Duke's. I liked it. It is tangier than standard mayo. I feel nearly all of us could pick it out in a blind taste test. Yet, I find myself preferring "standard mayo." My go-to is Hellmans. (Yes, Steven Raichlen prefers it so I must prefer it, but I do truly prefer it.)

Im with you on this. My wife just bought a small bottle of Dukes at our local Kroger (Ralph’s). We use Best Foods (Hellman’s) all the time. So, quick taste test. Yup, Dukes has a nice tang to it, but not so much better that we would switch. I do use Kewpie’s for Japanese potato salad. Got into that from watching Midnight Diner on Netflix.

I really like Dukes and Hellmann's, I'm trying to think what I grew up on in CA and it was probably on Kraft? I don't think Best Foods was a thing as a kid but I honestly don't remember.

I finally found some at the local Fresh Market. I bought it and, yes, it is noticeably tangier. Amanda didn’t notice a difference. The Aldi mayo is also pretty good so it is one of those items that is good, but not worth making a special trip to get.

After reading all of this, I had to have a sammie with Dukes. Thick slices of Braunschweiger and lettuce on sourdough bread. And of course, plenty of Dukes!! Yum. What a great breakfast. 🤣👍

Jfrosty27 As kids, we could not pronounce Braunschweiger. So we called it squeezy stuff. 😝

Native So. Cal boy myself and raised on Best Foods and it is in my fridge right now. I’m gonna have to check to see if Dukes is at my local store and give it a try.

I’ve found it at only one store in my entire area. Good luck on the hunt.

But is not Miracle Whip. Times are changing, and may have to give it a try if I can find it. Maybe Order at Walmart.

I thought so. Mayo for the southern mom was the binder that held everything together. Sadly, for my grandmother, my uncle would not touch mayo. He claimed it made him sick. I tested that claim when I was 19 by sneaking a tiny spoonful into a recipe that was so large there was no way he would be able to taste it. He wasn't lying, and it did not go well at all.
