    Any Good Chicken Drumstick Recipes?

March Madness coming up next week. I've got a bag of chicken drumsticks in the freezer I'd like to do something with for viewing with family/friends. I can't find any recipes on this website, smoke, grill or otherwise. Anyone got a recipe they like? Thanks.

I use the vortex on my Weber kettle and cook them like wings.

Sprinkel them with a little salt and pepper. Surround the vortex and let them rip. Spinning the grate and turning the legs every so often to get a nice char. Pull around 170*. I'll put into a bowl with whatever flavor sauce and toss.

      Yup Hawker, sauce n’ toss.

    Henrik's Jamaican Sticky Drumsticks
Or get yourself a Vortex and just a simple seasoning.

Similar to Henrik linked above but different flavor profile.
We've only done with thighs and wings, but should work with drumsticks

Rub the night before liberally with:

Then smoke indirect at 300º - 350º until 165º+. We use a BGE with plate setter and pizza stone, but any relatively hot indirect smoke will probably work.

Serve with Big Bob Gibson's White Sauce: https://amazingribs.com/tested-recip...-sauce-recipe/

Wait one minute, those are not drumsticks.
Look at what you done did, You Done Good
I would pair them with PBR, no problem.

I like to make them as if they were buffalo wings, except legs. I also like to mix Newman's Own Caesar Dressing 50/50 with Buffalo sauce, it's a nice different version of buffalo style.

Also- try Henrik's Jamaican Sticky Drumsticks: https://amazingribs.com/tested-recip...sticks-recipe/

https://youtu.be/QQ8bQIRaYEE hopefully this is a link to the late Phil Rogers aka Phil n Florence YouTube channel where he cooks his Lollipop Drumsticks. If the link doesn't work you can search for it on YouTube. It takes prep time but it looks and tastes great.

I had just discovered Phil's youtube channel a few months ago and then heard that he had passed away. He seemed like such a nice guy, wish I could have met him.

Just noticed the FishTalesNC is a former member. That's a shame as I always enjoyed his cooks.

Me too, Paul pkadare . He was so good at describing his cooks, many of which were really inventive (to me, at least).

Step 1. Buy yourself a damn kettle.
            Step 2. Cook on it.
Step 3. See what you’re missing out on.
Step 4. Buy Coors Light Beer, start drinking it.
Step 5. Watch as hot chicks swarm your house wanting sex.
