    What Do You Do?

When you have some leftover steak, a couple potatoes you smoked, and half a smoked onion?

That’s right, you make hash. And Bloody Marys. And enjoy them in the backyard with your wife!

My wife said it was a perfect 10:30 on Sunday morning. :-)

I’d write up my hash recipe, but I don’t really have one. I just toss stuff in the pan til it looks and smells right, then cook until the potatoes are crispy and done.

    The Bloody Mary recipe:

1 oz Demetri’s Bloody Mary seasoning
    12 oz tomato juice
    6 oz vodka
    3-4 splashes lime juice

Throw that all in a cocktail shaker over ice, stir vigorously until very chilled. Fill two pint glasses with ice, add a celery stalk and whatever garnish you like. Strain the Bloody Mary’s evenly into the two glasses. Enjoy.

Hash is always great for breakfast. Often, I add scrambled eggs and serve on tortillas. Like you, I have no recipe - its all leftovers.

Try it with tequila instead of vodka some day. It’s a marriage made in heaven!

I do make a Bloody Caesar sometimes and like them. Totally forgot that I have a rim mix in the cupboard. :-(
