apples & cinnamon for the win. I make 5 servings on Sunday, put them in small containers with chopped up apple. Pull one out in the morning and have it before I head out for my morning walk or gym.

I like tart dried montmorency cherries and a teaspoon (or three) of brown sugar.

Alan Brice bbqLuv have you tried Bob’s Red Mill quick steel cut oats? They are supposed to cook in a third of the time and are the same as the original ones just cut into thirds. Costco has a 7 pound bag for half the cost per pound of everywhere else.

Quick cost a bit more, they are only cut finer.

What is the price of a seven pound bag?!?! I would think the bugs would get more than I would before they were gone.

Yes, they are good, but it has been a few years.

I had steel-cut oats for breakfast yesterday. Cooked in a diluted dashi broth, with a few drops of fish sauce and soy sauce, a squirt of sriracha, and a few threads of seaweed. Poached an egg in the oats over the the last 5 minutes. Then topped with a little bit of minced green onion. Basically, I was making a rice breakfast porridge but with oats.

I get four 24oz resealable steel cut oats for appx $20 from Bob's every 4-6 months. Mix 50/50 w/old fashion oats in bulk from Costco. Cinnamon, craisons n a tbls of oil, Avocado, Evoo, switch it up all the time. Yumm. I hear it is good for you. Prob the only thing I do that is.

I mean, I did the math, that is roughly your consumption rate, right?

I haven’t bought the Costco bag yet. Not sure how much oats I eat just yet.
