From recent experience they keep good records of your meat orders. When the 2017 freezer went out recently we were able to document every piece of meat that had to be thrown out. The two insurance companies we had to work with paid up their shares of our losses without a peep when we supplied the invoices. I would have lost the receipts long ago of anything bought locally.

wild Fork Foods prime brisket is $5.18 per pound and I find it just as good as the other premium online butchers

Yeah I got one for $4.98/lb about six weeks ago. It was terrific and at the time about half the price of a prime brisket at Costco.

Wait... your Costco is charging $10/lb???
(Checks instacart)
Damn, at least via instacart here prime at Costco is $6.55/lb.Last edited by rickgregory; October 21, 2021, 08:07 PM.

Here in AU, I order from The Meat Inn Place, and it really shows why online butchers are worth it. The meat is much fresher and higher quality than what you usually get at supermarkets, with better trimming and taste. They also offer specialty cuts and options like grass-fed or free-range that aren’t easy to find elsewhere. Ordering online is simple, and everything arrives perfectly packaged and fresh. For me, using online butchers is worth it for the convenience, quality, and knowing exactly where my meat comes from.
