We have both Sams Club and Costco Memberships. Overall Costco products seem a bit higher quality but at a slightly higher price. Both clubs in Sioux Falls have great prices on ribs, packers, tenderloins, chicken, and whole prime ribs. I purchased whole prime ribs at Sams Club for $7.99/lb. when they were up to $13.00 elsewhere. Well worth the membership price.

I'm a member of Sam's Club here in Nebraska where they offer no prime packers, nor, can I get a tri-tip there either. Go figure.

Our Costco here in Vegas isn't one of the best, meat department wise. Our Sam's Club on the other hand has a nice, very well-stocked meat department. The butchers there will take time to cut just about anything you want, and prices are right.

I have belonged to Sam's for many years and also joined Costco about 2 years ago. I just got a smoker so, I don't remember why i joined Costco but, I do like both. Sam's is 5 minutes down the road while Costco takes me 20. Costco always has very nice prime steaks. Sam's never does. Haven't had the opportunity to check out their packers, if any. Anyway, Sam's has a phone app where you scan your items and then pay right on your phone. No need to go to a register, you just go to the exit. They scan the bar-code on you phone at the exit and, as if by magic, you are done!
