    Finally trying aged steaks

My butcher sliced up a ribeye he had been aging for 9 weeks now and I decided to go for it.

Since I'm on a student budget, I only bought a kg of meat and invited a few friends over to do a Meat/Wine/Cheese tasting. I also got some fresh coals and am going to be doing a barbie (just hoping the "ete des indiens" stays for one more day). Meet my two new friends:

I agree with Danjohnston949, they look too good to cook. Put them in a shadow box and hang them on a wall. Beautiful cuts of meat, kudos to your butcher!

They moved over to our street a few months ago and it's really great to be able to get high quality meat by just walking 10 steps.

Mmmmm...My mouth is watering... Every once and awhile, I get prime dry aged ribeyes... It is costly but still much cheaper than a high end steakhouse.
