If I absolutely had to go to the store for sauce I would get he ingredients to make my own. I don't use a ton (sauce a full rack but. I added sauce after that) and haven't eaten jarred sauce from anyone or anywhere in the 3 years I've been doing this. I guess I got sauce snob going on there. Is what it is. No homemade sauce and I'm w FireMan and go sauceless.

I agree here in Central Texas. Also use "the Jank" original

Trader Joe's Kansas City style sauce is my current favorite.

I tried Shealy's Mustard sauce after reading about it on the 12 Sauce Sampler. I must admit it took a while to grow on me. At first I could only taste the mustard.

Sweet Baby Rays. I think it's a great sauce. What can I say? I am going to pick some up one the way to work today......if these butts would ever finish up! #looooooongstall

My good friends Larry and Danny Williamson down in Marietta, GA have produced some great sauces that I go to and have in my fridge all the time. They have a very good original and Carolina sauce, but my favorite is their Spicy Chipotle sauce. You can purchase them in Sam's Club and Wal-Mart in the southeast. or here: https://www.bbqproshop.com/spice/spi...-2-lb-bag.html

Sweet Baby Ray's will do in a pinch for me, but if you're lucky enough to be able to get Blues Hog Original at your supermarket, you won't be sorry.

I gotta order mine online and hope the glass don't break...

Notavegan it's my Weber Q 3200. I basically mimicked a picture taken of Mike @ AnotherPintPlease.com when he got his first Summit.

If you ever get to Toronto Huskee, you should check out Dickson Barbecue. They actually have a cut little beer fridge with the barbecue sauces, and there's popsicle sticks you can use to get a little taste before you buy. I thought it was cute.

Johnny Harris for pork or one of the new Heinz sauces, KC Sweet and Smoky for ribs or Texas Bold and Spicy for beef. Stubb's is good, too.

If I lived in Memphis I'd just run down to the Peabody Hotel and grab a bottle of Charlie Vergo's Rendezvous sauce(it's cheaper there than at the restaurant) but that's about a 12-hour round trip for me so pretty much a no-go. And there's nowhere local to buy Pappy's XXX White Lightnin' so that's ruled out as well.

Hmm, not one vote for Open Pit Original. Watery, vinegary, slightly spicy with a hint of smoke, not bad right out of the jug. I cut with a bit of cider vinegar, add a touch of brown sugar, a couple of dashes if Tabasco Chipotle and in my opinion it makes a decent east Carolina sauce with no hassle.
