I'm pretty sure the reason I clicked on this thread is listed on the third or fourth page of posts. I just can't seem to get there.... yet?

Cocktails: Alton Brown turned me onto boulevardiers. That has become my travel cocktail. At home it is usually spiced rum, vodka, or whisky mixed with ginger ale.
Planning on a DIY smoker. **Those plans got scrapped. Between the PBC and the SnS, a DIY smoker project has moved way down the list. Now I want to build an Argentinian style grill!
Former homebrewer
No restrictions with me (love meats, cheese, veggies, etc...) however a friend I often cook with has celiac so I avoid gluten in my cooking. (PS. Stone delicious is a gluten reduced beer that he highly recommends )

SCREAMING HAIRY ARMADILLO
The screaming hairy armadillo (Chaetophractus vellerosus) is far hairier than most other armadillo species. It has thick, long bristly hairs all over its body, even on its shell, or "carapace", which is made from keratin, the same material as human hair and nails. That explains why it's called a "hairy armadillo," and the qualifier "screaming" refers to the armadillo's tendency to loudly squeal when handled by humans or threatened by other predators.
Found in the central and southern parts of South America, these armadillos live in burrows and are often hunted by humans for their meat. They are considered a cultural symbol of the Bolivian highlands

Common Cockchafer

A common cockchafer on a leaf
“This is an example of a beetle with a great name! The cockchafer is a type of flying beetle, growing up to 3 centimeters long and sometimes called a ‘doodle-bug’ or May bug.”

Finally a thread about nothing! Good! Here’s what I want to throw into the great void of nothing and see what happens. I watched the Olympics and enjoyed most of it. Here’s what an inquiring mind wants to know. I watched the women’s high jump and was amazed at how high they’ve taken the Fosbury flop. I read the new world record for women is 6ft 10 1/2 inches. I then watched the women’s floor exercise where tiny little Simone Biles was at one point over 12 ft in the air. Why can’t she take a tumbling run at the bar and smash the world high jump record? I’m just saying.
