    What I'm Cooking!

Hi Folks! Been a busy summer and into fall! We've been playing a lot with Korean Cooking these days and Bulgogi and home made Kimchi is a huge part of our current cooking. The Blackstone is a HUGE boost to this as once prepped the cooking takes mere minutes. takes longer to clean the griddle! This has become a nearly weekly staple for us! If you haven't tried Griddle (OR teppanyaki) Stir Fry, you really should. we usually cook around 600 to 700 degrees which gives great 'wok hei' flavore while cooking/charring your veg While keeping the crunchy and delicious.

Not really been baking this summer. might get back to that some as fall comes in.

    How are you guys??

That all looks great. I love stir fry on the cooktop. It goes so quickly it is a two person job.
We just returned from the Lafayette Meatup. It was my first and Kim is hooked.

I skim here from time to time. with just we two, we fall into a predictable series of cooks. I'm about, I just don't post as much.

This looks so good! Bulgogi was one of my favorite foods while I was in Korea. I also love kimchi. Who's recipes did you use for making kimchi and the bulgogi?

I started with Maangchi and adjusted with influences from elsewhere. I have a friend who is first generation Korean, she took my Kimchi and my Daikon (and my Hoettok) to her father. He liked them so I consider that encouraging. I wish we had a large enough Korean community to support a decent Korean Restaurant. So, when we go to Atlanta for HWMO's Hair appointments, we always go to H-mart and one of the Korean BBQ next door!
