My spaces are still works in progress, but I'm posting them in this thread anyway. I hope you do the same because I'm looking for inspiration. Whether you have a provincial spread, or a grill table you made out of pallets for your Weber kettle show us what you have. Tell us your plans if you have further aspirations.

I had a hot tub that I had to decommission after I moved out of state. That left me with a weird structure I wasn't sure what to do with until one day it hit me. Outdoor kitchen! I deconstructed everything until i was left with just a solid platform and built upon that. A lot of it is made of salvaged redwood which is fitting since the cabin is in the redwood forest.









The photos aren't very good, and this is a pretty rustic space, and it probably always will be. It's also likely to always be a work in progress as I'll continue to tweak it because, well, I like to do that.

One problem I had was that whenever I was at the cabin I found myself jealous of myself. So I decided I needed an outdoor kitchen at home too. So I started on one this summer.











As you can see I still have a lot to do. I'll pick up the roofing tomorrow and hope to get that on over the weekend.

I picked up three new cookers since starting this project including a new 26" Weber with SnS.



I also replaced my old 4 burner with a used 2 burner Weber.



And i accidentally found a $50 pizza oven looking for the small gas grill.

Very nice...I want to build something like that at home...but can't settle on how I want to do it. In the meantime, This is my away space....my home space isn't as nice.

Not much of an outdoor kitchen per se, but it gets the job done. At least this deck is bigger and better than what I used to have.


Not pictured is the other small kettle and the stickburner, and metal trash can that holds the current charcoal bag.

Eventually I'd like to expand the deck and build a roof over this one. Probably more realistic, at least in the near future, is getting a large cantilever patio umbrella or nice canopy roof to sneak my active cookers under during rain.

A bit messy. I posed everyone for the shot. A buddy proposes that we lay concrete and get a bigger cover. My wife controls the checkbook so can't do that anytime soon.

Here's the patio I built in 2015. It would be great to have a covered space for rainy days, but for now I just grill on my tiny front porch if it's raining. Also, my Backwoods Party always runs on the porch since I store it in the garage.

I got the roof on today. Finished off the rain gutter as well. The rain is coming Sunday so I'm glad to have it on. We're supposed to get 3 days of rain.

No brother, it has finally receded! Now we just have trash and skeeters. And I mean Skeeters! It's clean-up and rebuild time now. FEMA just left an hour ago. Crazy how they document things. We are fully insured, so I told them whatever they have for me, give it to the poor folks that were 6 feet under.

This is temporary, but it's working for me. We bought a house that had previously been condemned. The owner did just enough to bring it to the town's stipulations and then sold it to me. It's a work in progress, and I love this thread cause I'm collecting ideas for the phase 2 of the renovation.

Nothing fancy, but it is comfortable. The gas grill pedestal was there when I bought the house, piped for natural gas. There was a small one burner grill in bad shape, so I tore down the first three levels of bricks and rebuilt it with a four burner stainless grill. That was good for a few years until I discovered this site while looking for smoking instructions. That led to the PBC and the XL BGE. Then of course I needed some storage and work space, and finally I had to paint stuff green. The chairs were white, but I had them powder coated to go with the scheme. The rug is an RV mat from a camping place. Maybe I will post another picture when I hang the Christmas lights in the canopy!
