If anybody is around early on Thursday, Uncle Bob and his wife Lee and Julia and I are having lunch at Burnt Bean in Seguin about 11:00. It was the highlight of the 2022 Fall Meatup, high up on the Texas Monthly list and has the best sandwich ever, the Brass Monkey.

For anyone who doesn’t want to look that up it’s sliced brisket and sausage with mac and cheese covered with crushed flaming hot Cheetos.

3 PM. I just called the hotel and they said if anyone wants to check in earlier than 3, give them a call. If your room was not rented out the night before, or if it’s already cleaned, you can check in earlier than 3, even as soon as noon or 1:00. The direct line to the hotel is 512-667-7011.
