When I first posed the question, “Is anyone interested in an NC Meat-Up?”, little did I know the kind of interest, support, and participation it would invoke. The seed of this idea was planted last fall but here we are in May and the first ever North Carolina Amazing Ribs Pitmaster Club Meat-Up is a reality. This event is already a huge success primarily due to your continued interest, the great support of others who have attended previous Meat-Ups, and your willingness to travel thousands of miles to meet many of your online friends face-to-face. I feel like I know many of you already through our online banter and witty exchanges but still, I can’t wait to meet each of you personally.

Pit Members, spouses and other family members will begin arriving today, Thursday, May 4. Please use this topic page to post all of your pictures and comments DURING the Meat-Up in order to establish a historical record of a historical event. As mentioned previously, there will be a professional photographer with us Friday evening to record all our shenanigans. Those pictures will also be uploaded here or a link to them will be provided.
