RIP to my fellow Yinzer. I never had a chance to meet him in person, but from his posts I knew he was someone who would have seamlessly fit into my own friends groups in and around Pittsburgh. He represented what makes Pittsburgh a truly great city, we can travel near and far but somehow manage to find one another along the way and know where we call home by either our unique Pittsburghese dialect (gumbands, redding-up the house, dahntawn, etc.) or by our fashion choices, like wearing a Steelers or Penguins jersey to formal events and carrying our favorite accessory, The Terrible Towel. We identify ourselves by the neighborhoods we grew up in, and we all grew up around the lessons of our most famous Neighbor, Mr. Rogers. Regardless of where our neighborhood is located we all are just Pittsburghers.
He was taken far too young and he will be truly missed around here.
