Oh man, this is rough to hear. I was his secret Santa last year and for this year’s run up, wondered why we hadn’t heard from him in a while. Tend that fire well brother.

Dang, gone too soon. I've had some great interactions with Rich here in the Pit. He was a genuinely good fellow.

This breaks my heart. Even though I only knew him for a short time, he really made an impact in The Pitmaster Club. He was so funny, welcoming and I loved his relationship with his bull dog.

48 is way too young, just a shame.

Because there is less than ten days between his last post and his passing, I think it must have been something sudden. Sudden deaths are difficult to deal with, so let’s support his family our prayers and thoughts.

Yep, that crossed my mind, too.

I’m so sad about this. He was a great guy that had mentioned last spring that he’d just started work on a Master’s degree. It’s so fitting that cooking is mentioned in his obituary, as that’s what brings us all here.

RIP my friend, and Godspeed. My condolences to his family and friends.

Overcoming many obstacles to even get to a point to work on that Master's.

He had a good sense of humor, he'll be missed.
