After months of waiting, I waa finally able to start this new project. According to the people helping me, it should be done next week! Looking great sonfar! Next up, building and attaching firebox and chimney. Then, learning to use a stickburner correctly!

This is awesome! Did you cut the door from the same tank? Or were you able to find another tank that you will use for the smoke box and this door shown.

            Have fun finishing this off!

            JCBBQ thanks!
@barefly yes, the door is from the same tank. I'm using a square firebox.

Nice Work, I have access to a lot of Cylinders of different sizes. I may need to try this too. Curious to see how happy you are with it.

Looks good. Send me any questions you have about the build and I can point you in the right direction.
I build about 150 pits a year so know a thing or 2 about building pits.

Not yet, it's not supposed to be ready until May or June but I'm thinking sometime in July.

Smoke stack and grills are on! Firebox is beaing attached today, and then only small stuff remaining, the grease drain, probe ports, and wheels. Tel-Tru thermometer is arriving next week, so that will have to wait. I'm hoping I can burn it out, season and maybe cook something Sunday!

I'm scouring for seasoned and dried wood all over. I am having a REALLY hard time containing my excitement!
