Outstanding! You've done yourself proud my man.

You will think about this build everytime you cook on that beast. However... you're not done yet. You must paint it to give it it's true character and you must name it. I suggest the HHH, the "Hot Hog House" but I'm sure many Pit Members will come up with their suggestions too.

Hot Hog House! I love it! But I have already dubbed it 'Rude Boy'. I'll remember HHH for the next one :-)

It's looking mighty fine, Henrik! Now if we can just get someone around here to help you master a Texas accent, you'll be totally set as a Pit Master!

Thanks! Will fabricate four grill grates next, and then it's time to cook on it. I ordered a wind meter (anenometer?), but it was broken out of the box, so will have to get another one to verify draft.

What kind of draft are you looking for in that Beast, just curious?

Dude! This is such an awesome thread. I watched the Franklin video on how to build one but I would never in a million years be able to execute. Well done! And, based on your other thread, looks like the temp control is spot on!

It's really cool that so many people are so excited about, and supportive of, my smoker build. Fantastic! I'm just as excited too. Still can't believe I have a massive smoker in my backyard. I've fired it up a few times now, and I realize it is big every time I open one of the doors and reach in, and all of a sudden discover my entire upper body is inside the smoker

I'm currently fabricating the wheel 'stand'. Four wheels for the food chamber and four for the firebox. The plan is to roll it on and off the trailer easily. That trailer is so good for hauling things around I don't want to use it for the smoker only.

Just don't accidentally fall in. We wouldn't want to have smoked Henrik for dinner. LOL

Now I am intrigued. What smoker do you have? What does the firebox look like, and why do you want to modify it? I'm sure you have good reasons, I'm just curious.

It's a cadillac cooker from Sikston Ms. Rotisserie smoker designed with propane. I pulled the propane pipe and burn only wood, the box is too shallow! I'll try to post pics
