I get it. I have a 22" Weber kettle and a OKJ Bronco and I still want one of those great, big 26" Weber Kettles, not that I need another charcoal-wood smoker.
Will probably need to replace our venerable 10 yr old Smoke Vault. Burner keeps getting clogged and we're getting tired of having to taking it apart to fix it.
My toys:
Weber Summit Charcoal Grilling Center (WSCGC) aka Mr. Fancypants
Pit Barrel Cooker (which rocks), named Pretty Baby
Weber Summit S650 Gas Grill, named Hot 'n Fast (used mostly for searing and griddling)
Weber Kettle Premium 22" named Kettle Kid, eager to horn in with more cooks in the future
Camp Chef Somerset IV 4-burner outdoor gas range named AfterBurner due to its 30kBTU burners

If I ever convince myself that I need a pellet cooker, I'd get the Grilla. I have a hard time dealing with the lower smoke profile pellet cookers reputedly deliver. If I'm going to use a smoker I want a nice smokey flavor. The PBC spoiled my family for that.
Are you thinking the OG or one of the others? You might be happy with the OG, but guessing your assumption would be correct about the chimp and silverback. If you look through the pellet vs stick thread (https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/fo...cepting-bribes) at the longer cooks, you’ll see the Grilla OG, Yoder, LSG, and MAK results look visibly different from the rest.

Yes, glitchy , I'm thinking of the Grilla OG . It captured my fancy a few years back but I still haven't perfected the rationalization so I can get it with a "clear conscience". After all, I really don't need a pellet cooker. That said, I'd still like to play with one.
Yep, 2 giant pellet poopers were just too much. My buddy has never been much of a cook and never an outdoor cook, but they built a beautiful home on his wife's family ranch and it's set up for entertaining. All of the men in our group of friends are outdoor cooking enthusiasts and he's finally joining the ranks with the easiest outdoor cooker to use. And that old Traeger is a beast, all rolled steel construction with an updated controller. Oh, and I linked him to AR as well.
I find I have a magic number and then grills just don’t get used. I especially notice that when they are very similar, like two pellets or two gassers. I bet your friend is excited at your generosity.
I realized, I never said which cooker, I had my eye on. Seriously considering an RT-B380 Bullseye from Req Tec to add compliment my Silverbac. We will see.
Got one. It has some challenges, IMO. It's slow to come to temp. There's an air issue (not enough) which one of these days I'll put a hole in the lid to address. ReqTec sent a part that props the lid up some, but it's not enough. Right now, a piece of foil rolled up between the lid and the cooking chamber does the trick. At that price point, I prefer the GMG Trek but it's not got the cooking area of the Bullseye.
My grill just fell apart on me (other post in SNS forum) and I am now on the hunt for my new cooker. This one had a 20 x 30 cook surface. I am going to get either a gaucho style grill with brasero or a Santa Maria grill. Im leaning towards the gaucho style because of the fire bricks. I like something simple and the Nuke is looking good right now. So many choices to make!
