      John, I don't know if your HEB is running the same sale (ends tomorrow at closing), but mine has Prime NY Strips for $9.99/lb. Just picked these up. While I said fajitas earlier, doing a thicker steak would let you spin that EZ-Spin Grate.

        Wow! That ain’t bad, thanks Michael. However I went to HEB already today and bought something for the first cook. It’s Top Secret though. I can’t reveal what it is until the cook…Don’t wanna piss off the IDF. 🥸 I just now got a chance to do my burn in because of the rain. I’m hoping to finish early enough for a cook tonight.

      Woo hoo! First cook on the new kettle.

      For my first cook I didn’t want to do a quick cook, like a steak or chops, but I also didn’t feel like a long cook like a pork butt or ribs. So I decided on something in between, a pork loin. It’s been a few years since I did this particular cook, but it’s a bacon wrapped pork loin stuffed with jalapeños and cream cheese. I dusted it inside and out with Harley’s Texas Style BBQ All Purpose Seasoning. I like this stuff a lot. Seek it out, you’ll thank me later.

      I think a lot of people will agree, but if you have any brand of kettle, the SnS charcoal insert along with B & B Briquettes just can’t be beat!

      P.S. I really like this new SNS Master Kettle!

        Pro Tip: If you use toothpicks to hold the bacon in place, be sure to remove them before eating. Don’t ask me how I know…🙄

      Ah one of my holy grail purchases! If I hadn't been able to find a gently used Weber for a reasonable price, I would've been saving up for the SNS for sure!
