I know this guy in my neighborhood that has an SnS Kettle that he loves for weeknight cooking when it’s just him and his wife. One night he needed some advice after having put a tri-tip on and it hadn’t hit 100 IT after 45 minutes on the kettle. I pointed out to him that he had the bottom vents fully closed and his charcoal had gone out. Man, what a dumb ass
I know this one moron neighbor of mine, who one time lit the wood in his cheap ass offset smoker with a big ol’ Duraflame fireplace log! He didn’t have any charcoal, so he decided to use that instead. He didn’t even realize what he did until halfway through the cook! What a dumbass!

Reminds me of this guy in my neighborhood, using an air-bed inflator stuck in a vent of his Kamander in an attempt to resurrect embers that he tried so hard to suffocate. Never happens here in the Pit.
We had our local upscale grocery store, on Signal Mountain, TN fry a turkey for Thanksgiving one year when both sons were off to college. They came home for a homemade meal. Our store's dumbass deli department forgot to remove the plastic bag inside the turkey that held the neck, gizzards, liver etc., before they fried it. We did not eat the turkey with the fried plastic bag inside. A lousy Thanksgiving dinner.
When my ex and I were dating, she once made us dinner including some frozen twice baked potatoes, but didn’t take them out of their plastic bags before putting them in the oven. I should have known then…
