    never thought i use one

    i saw the pit on the left in our local asian grocery..never did i think i would buy one and cook on ..but i have...today i chared some hatch chillies on it..
    the unit on left is thanks to Mr.Bones..neat deal..may cook up a rib eye tonite

    Someone here uses one. I think FireMan I bought one before I joined AR and have yet to use it. I think it is under my work bench buried.

      I checked at the asian food market in baton rouge today..new price is 28.99...
      Uncle Sam was so generous to take me to Asia..sometimes i have strange memories..anyway..i saw many of this type cooker around..not really sure what there charcoal was made from..i do remember in my foggy brain it was hot..mine i use lump b&b of fogo..and i can crank it up...600 plus

    We had one of those, got it in China town. Never could get it hot enough for wok cooking (versus my 12,000 btu range top). It's good for searing though, like a charcoal chimney. It's useful but I ended up giving mine away.

      Dude, these are cool. I can have a cast iron wok that work great for this set up. So fun to cook on.
