Last weekend the wife made Chile verde using tomatillos, peppers, herbs from the garden and chicken stock I make with carcasses from smoked chickens. #NOM

Have you used the HB for baking bread or pies? If not, would it still be useful for that? The HB is on my short list for the next "forever" cooker (along with the WSCGC or PK360).

CaptainMike I’ve never done bread/pies, but you definitely could do them.

Is Shiner available outside of Texas now? I wonder if people around the country long for Shiner the same way I do for Yeungling.

Whenever I get the chance I drink Shiner Bock. It's not too often, but if I see that label, I grab it.

I think we need a thread "show us what you’re about to cook"

stuff brining in refrigeratirs. Get people to show their outdoor mise en place for wok cooking etc.

The prep is 90% of the work.

After a busy Sunday trying to get moved into the (almost) finished with the remodel bathrooms, I finally got the turkey breast on the Hasty-Bake .... looking and smelling good :-)

Got some shots of it after 30 hours in the fridge, and now with herbs on it (herbs de Provence, garlic powder, pepper) and into the Hasty-Bake. Some shots of the HB showing the turkey in it and you can see the firebox setup.
