    Ranger Brisket

    I figured after completing the PNWBA Judging class I was feeling inspired to critique some of my work and got the Ranger fired up. Usually my other Hasty’s get the love for smoking… NOT THIS TIME! This little cooker was on point yesterday. Now that I have these cookers dialed in a little better it only takes a few vent adjustments from start to finish of a cook. I use a snake method on all my Hasty Bake’s and I find it to be pretty much set it and forget it.

                      I LOVE my Hasty Bake cookers! The Ranger admittedly gets a little less use but I’m determined to give it some more love this spring and summer. I hope you get a chance to cook on one if you haven’t yet.

                        I’m thinking the fact the brisket was maybe just a tiny frozen in center aided in the prominent ring. Too many variables to know for certain!

                      That Ranger is a pricey dude for its size by the time you buy its legs. I'm still trying to get my SIL to buy a Hasty Bake for their house so I can cook on it when we visit.

                        Sounds like you deserve one no doubt! The stand price was ridiculous… very well made but a tough pill to swallow!
