I'll be cooking that weekend. On Sunday I'm doing smash burgers for a church picnic on the griddle. Which means I'll be at home that weekend, which is where the PBC is, not at the vacation house where the Bronco is. Sorry @Panhead John, looks like I'll be playing for the other team.

Panhead John , Sady, I can't participate that weekend. You might remember me bitching that my summer travel plans for the end of July are to be traveling to Houston for an outdoor wedding, which is that weekend... However, I am doing ribs on Wednesday, so I will post up those results and everyone can think of them as early voting for the OKJ Bronco!Comment

I hear a lot of yapping from the Bronco "winners" about how they're doing this 'n that. I won't divulge what I'll be doing (mainly because I don't really know yet). However, I'm the sort of fancy pants California guy that does stuff like this so...just be warned...

That is a tough weekend for me but may be able to squeeze something out of the PBC on Friday to put another notch in the PBC belt. Assuming I can get it done, it would have to be a quick(ish) cook - so thinking of maybe my smoked meatballs or pulled chicken.... decisions, decisions...Comment

I’ll cook something but have no need to measure cooks against the PBC. I’m sure it’s a fine cooker. It’s not an OJB, doesn’t have the flexibility, but I’m sure the cue is fine.Comment

Alright, I'm now off that weekend and after giving the OJP a test run on Monday. A few hours of it running empty I put a tray of potatoes and some salmon (excellent!!) Ready to give it a real test. I think I might do a side by side with my WSM so there will be a comparison. Maybe bone in pork loin as that's currently on sale my local grocer.Comment

Alright! My Bronco is smiling and he wants to join these festivities and my schedule is open. I think I'll do both a hot and fast cook and a low and slow. Something a Bronco can do on it's own.Comment

My PBC is easy to load in the back of my Flex if I'm cooking away from home, but the Bronco is very versatile. Both great cookers. If I had to choose one it would probably be the Bronco, as long as I wasn't going to transport it by myself.
Most important, take care of your wife. -

tbob4 and I had a get together today and I wanted to get in the mood for next weekend’s smackdown with those pesky PBC people. We both invited some of our closest friends over to his place to party. Gotta tell ya, man we had a blast! Here’s a few pics of our hoedown, let the jealousy begin!

Heck yes I am jealous! Half of those folks were supposed to me at my house again for burgers tonight but begged off saying "Can't come on a account of that vy'rus thingamajig". I will not forget any of this. And yes - that photo is of me displaying my disdain.
