I'll have to see what is going on that weekend but my initial thought: rack of lamb and grilled green beans.

Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
Right now it looks like I'll be in. It's a cook off, right? To me that means a judge needs to judge the cook when it comes off the cooker. So Panhead John since this is your idea (and a good one), are you the judge and jury? I know my food will be better than yours even if I boil it. So how does it work?

Obviously I’m just kidding. 😂. Thanks for joining us! It’s a fun group cook for the PBC and Bronco people to show off what they can do with their cooker. There’s no judging because it’ll be so obvious when the pictures are posted that the Bronco is the superior cooker.

I'll have a houseful of 9 people that weekend, leaving the following weekend. Not sure how much PBC time I could have, since I'm planning on doing 3 cooks on the WSCGC that week: Chicken breasts with Meathead's BBG White BBQ Sauce, fajitas made with Vegas steaks (veggies in the the cast iron DnG), and reverse-seared porterhouse steaks and hasselback potatoes. Rounded out with Bolognese lasagna and Kenji's Instant Pot beef stew here and there in the week.
Won't be able to cook on the PBC for the week after the family leaves because I plan on lying drunk in the gutter for a few days.

So you all have a good time without me.
Kathryn
P.S. My PBC laughs at your Bronco, Panhead John .

Golf! Where are your priorities dude?! A long time ago my wife promised me a new set of golf clubs. Then my knees went bad and golfing wasn't fun anymore. Now that they are both replaced she asked me earlier this year if I wanted the clubs now. I told her at this point I'd just as soon have another cooker. Which is partly how I ended up with a Bronco, and a PBC, and a Weber Performer. I think I made the right choice.

Bogy Yea I know. About 14 years ago I was playing 2-3 times a week. Then a busted up shoulder, kids and life got in the way so I hadn't played since. Now that my kids are grown and that I've dropped a lot of weight over the last year, to help keep it off I've been walking 9 holes 3-4 times a week. Starting to get my old swing back now and playing in some local events. Oh, i'm also getting some new clubs and replacing mine from 1996...LOL. I'm sure i'll sneak in a new cooker too!!

Cookers:
Oklahoma Joe Offset (older thick steel version!)
Camp Chef Woodwind
OK Joe Bronco
Weber Genesis
Ooni Karu
Weber Kettle
My goal is to eventually have at least one of every style of cooker….. I have work to do. Lol!
Thermometers:
ThermoWorks Thermapen MK4
ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE
ThermoWorks Thermopop
ThermoWorks RFX
ThermoWorks IRK-2 Infrared
Maverick XR-50
TempSpike Plus
Other Gear:
Megaforce 3000 Meat Grinder
Weston 7-pound sausage stuffer
Jerky Gun for making poppers. (Game changer!)
Amaz-N-Tube
Original SnS with drip n griddle
Weber Chimney
Fuels Used:
Splits/Chunks, whatever I can get. Usually B&B competition. Favorites are Cherry, Apple, Post Oak, and Hickory.
Pellets, Lumberjack.
Charcoal, whatever is on sale. Currently have a bunch of KBB. Will eventually try B&B. Use whatever lump is on sale in my Ooni.
Propane, Blue Rhino.
Rubs:
Usually make my own riff’s on Memphis Dust and BBBR. Also use Meathead’s commercial rubs and occasionally try something new. I like a couple from Tuffy Stone and Kinder’s. After several surgeries, I’m very sensitive to “spicy” stuff, so I need to be careful about heat levels.
Panhead John , the Bronco winning menu ideas have been running through my head like crazy!!! Fish? Homemade (like ground, seasoned, rested, stuffed, and then smoked) sausage? Pulled beef? Some type of chicken? Wild Turkey breast? Pheasant?????? The possibilities to bring home the Bronco win are endless!!!!!!

no matter what, the real winner will be The Pit! We all benefit from each other and I love that about this community. (Even though the Bronco is superior!).

Yeah, I can jump in on this. Might as well. The PBC is so easy to run, it is not like its a chore. LOL (The Bronco is in MT, so I will not be using that rig)
The hardest part is finding enough friends that want to hang out with me.
