I'll have to see what is going on that weekend but my initial thought: rack of lamb and grilled green beans.

Sounds great David! I hope you can make it, we’re getting some stiff competition from the PBC camp.

Maybe I can get my son to participate with the Bronco I gave him for his birthday. It would be a great way to get a free meal too! 🤣🙄

Right now it looks like I'll be in. It's a cook off, right? To me that means a judge needs to judge the cook when it comes off the cooker. So Panhead John since this is your idea (and a good one), are you the judge and jury? I know my food will be better than yours even if I boil it. So how does it work?

Obviously I’m just kidding. 😂. Thanks for joining us! It’s a fun group cook for the PBC and Bronco people to show off what they can do with their cooker. There’s no judging because it’ll be so obvious when the pictures are posted that the Bronco is the superior cooker.

I'll have a houseful of 9 people that weekend, leaving the following weekend. Not sure how much PBC time I could have, since I'm planning on doing 3 cooks on the WSCGC that week: Chicken breasts with Meathead's BBG White BBQ Sauce, fajitas made with Vegas steaks (veggies in the the cast iron DnG), and reverse-seared porterhouse steaks and hasselback potatoes. Rounded out with Bolognese lasagna and Kenji's Instant Pot beef stew here and there in the week.

Won't be able to cook on the PBC for the week after the family leaves because I plan on lying drunk in the gutter for a few days.

So you all have a good time without me.

    Kathryn
P.S. My PBC laughs at your Bronco, Panhead John .

I just can't seem to picture you "lying drunk in a gutter"
Me on the other hand, a few times, many years ago. 🤔

I’m in as long as I’m free….I have a golf outing that weekend but I might be able to squeeze something in on the PBC.

Golf! Where are your priorities dude?! A long time ago my wife promised me a new set of golf clubs. Then my knees went bad and golfing wasn't fun anymore. Now that they are both replaced she asked me earlier this year if I wanted the clubs now. I told her at this point I'd just as soon have another cooker. Which is partly how I ended up with a Bronco, and a PBC, and a Weber Performer. I think I made the right choice.

Bogy Yea I know. About 14 years ago I was playing 2-3 times a week. Then a busted up shoulder, kids and life got in the way so I hadn't played since. Now that my kids are grown and that I've dropped a lot of weight over the last year, to help keep it off I've been walking 9 holes 3-4 times a week. Starting to get my old swing back now and playing in some local events. Oh, i'm also getting some new clubs and replacing mine from 1996...LOL. I'm sure i'll sneak in a new cooker too!!

Panhead John , the Bronco winning menu ideas have been running through my head like crazy!!! Fish? Homemade (like ground, seasoned, rested, stuffed, and then smoked) sausage? Pulled beef? Some type of chicken? Wild Turkey breast? Pheasant?????? The possibilities to bring home the Bronco win are endless!!!!!!

no matter what, the real winner will be The Pit! We all benefit from each other and I love that about this community. (Even though the Bronco is superior!).

For sure! And also Spinaker …..he’s got both PBCs and a Bronco…Hmm🧐 Keep us in suspense which one he’s gonna cook on till he posts his pics? But either way, team Bronco kicks ass….

      #28
Yeah, I can jump in on this. Might as well. The PBC is so easy to run, it is not like its a chore. LOL (The Bronco is in MT, so I will not be using that rig)

The hardest part is finding enough friends that want to hang out with me.

Good deal John boy! Thanks for jumping in, now….where the hell is Jerod Broussard ? Do any other mods have a PBC or Bronco? Everyone is invited of course, having mods jump in just makes it that much better.

Jerod used too, not sure if he still has his or not. He is in the pellet game now, so hopefully we can rescue him from that dark side of BBQ and get him back to burning the real stuff.

Hey, my LSG cabinet is kind of a square barrel. Does that count? otherwise I would have to use my Home Depot 5 gal bucket (barrel). I have a feeling it had better be a very short cook!

I have a very busy weekend, but I’m hoping to participate. I’ll certainly be with the Bronco owners in spirit, although I do still own the PBC that I never really warmed up to.
