A few new Bronco owners posted about doing a chicken and made me realize I haven’t done one in a year or so…hung on the Bronco that is. Here’s how this fascinating story goes down 🙄 Shockingly, I marinated it in….Good Seasons Italian Dressing sprinkled with Tony’s! Marinated it for about 4 hours, cooked it with a large chunk of mesquite for 2 hours. I left the vents wide open for most of the cook. It was done at around 350* - 375* for the majority of the cook.
Marinating in the Good Seasons

Used all hot coals to start the cook

Surprisingly the Bronco thermometer was very accurate. It helps if you place your probe close to the Bronco’s probe to obtain greater accuracy.

Is it just me, or do all cooked chickens look like they were “posed” by a serial killer?

Served with cabbage and dirty rice

Came out tender and juicy! The Bronco and PBC are chicken machines!

Thanks for the laugh along with the great info for future Bronco chicken cookers.
