I've heard that about PA. We're more lax here than many states in some things, for instance any grocery store or gas station can sell beer & liquor (they of course have to get licensure & so on). It's very convenient. But Buffalo Trace told me they can't send me a list of my local stores that carry their products because we're a "liquor control state"...hmmm, (to be continued...)

Huskee, lets not talk about timing then, lol. If I am not working, well, who knows...

And to answer your other question, no. That makes you a connoisseur! The amount you drink, and what time in the morning you start, is the dividing line between alcoholic and connoisseur! Lol.

  • Huskee
    commented on 's reply
Not entirely sure. I did ask if that particular bottle that they're sending us would change, and the only thing they told me is it's a promotional offer and that's what's currently available. For what it's worth. Their main menu now has a link to the refer-a-friend program which gives me my custom link that I would share with you guys. Seems to me that particular program is there to stay, but I don't know for sure.

I am taking a bourbon (and spirits) sabbatical. How long does the offer last? If I start now, the sabbatical will end quickly. I am a weak man with no willpower - at least where it comes to bourbon. And whiskey. And rum. And beer. And - wait, do I sound like an alcoholic???

I was excited too. I can't get a lot of those bourbons here. PA has a monopoly on all liquor sales, I shouldn't have been surprised. EVERY liquor sale has to go through a state store. Beer and wine are a little different, but all the liquor runs through the State.

Booo! Sorry my friend. Usually MI suffers from those things (lots of online retailers can't/won't ship here) and I thought if they'll ship here they'll ship to most anyone. I was wrong. Sigh... Thanks for trying!

Update: Currently the free bottle we'd both get is Breckenridge bourbon.

I had a sample of it months ago and I don't remember it specifically. I remember liking it, but how exactly it compares to some of my other faves escapes me. I do have some coming so I can give my review of it later. Breaking Bourbon rates it very favorably.

Yep, what djl said below. So $20/month or $17.50/mo if paid yearly. Every 3 mo. you get a free tasting kit, most are $35-40, and every month you get a free shipping credit on any size order. I have found whiskeys there I can't find locally, conversely I've found higher prices on some I can cheaper locally. It's a gamble, but the tasting kits and info they have make it a fun hobby and good value for me. Hate to use this comparison, but maybe somewhat like the AR for whiskey in some respects.

  • Flaviar online whiskey & spirits club- we both get a free bottle!

I have been a member of Flaviar, an online whisk(e)y & spirits club, for about a year maybe more. If you've heard of it, are interested in joining, or know you want to join for sure, please let me know by either PMing me here or emailing me, and I can give you a referral code that will get us both a free bottle!

What I like about them is that they have a LOT of great tasting notes on different liquors & whiskies and really help you find things that you might enjoy based on what you already enjoy. You can get a free tasting kit (3 samples) of bourbon, Scotch, gin, tequila, whatever you choose, every quarter for free as a member, or you can buy more. I've discovered 3 things my wife & I love form their tasting kits. You get free shipping on any order once a month. If you're a connoisseur, or want to be, this place is worth taking a peek at. I got 2 tasting kits when I joined, I think everyone does.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

the good one grill

The Good-One Open Range is a charcoal grill with an offset smoke chamber attached. It is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. The grill sits low in front and doubles as a firebox for the smoke chamber which is spliced on above and behind so it can work like a horizontal offset smoker only better. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

Pit Barrel Cooker Smoker

Griddle And Deep Fryer All In One

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, and home fries. Or pancakes, fajitas, grilled cheese, you name it. Why stink up the house deep frying and spatter all over? Do your fried chicken and calamari outside. Blackstone's Rangetop Combo With Deep Fryer does it all. Plus it has a built in cutting board, garbage bag holder, and paper towel holder. An additional work table on the left side provides plenty of counter space.

masterbuilt gas smoker

Our founder, Meathead, wanted the same steak knives used by steakhouses such as Peter Luger, Smith & Wollensky, Morton's, Kobe Club, Palm, and many others. The beefy hardwood handle provides a comfortable grip secured by three hefty rivets. He has machine washed his more than 100 times. They have never rusted and they stay shiny without polishing. Please note that we do not make, sell, or distribute these knives, they just engrave them with our name.
