    That's interesting. And ridiculous.

In Texas, car dealerships aren't open on Sundays. If they are going to open on a Sunday, they can't be open on Saturday. They can only be open one day per weekend.

    Wow! Never heard of that.

Buck Flicks It's similar here in PA. ALSO, and I think this is worse, we can't hunt on Sundays.....

Slight disclaimer, we can hunt for 'yotes and crows on Sunday. No deer, small game, waterfowl, elk, turkey, etc....

Mr. Bones, I gave in and joined Huskee in the club. I like your math, hadn't thought about it in those terms. When you look at it like that, why there's hardly any harm at all almost.

I'd love to do this. Unfortunately, I live in a backwards state with backwards laws where alcohol is concerned. Probably a good thing since our laws are so relaxed concerning guns.

Can't buy booze on Sunday. Can't buy any kind of alcohol before noon on Sundays. Grocery/convenience stores are not allowed to sell alcoholic beverages over 17%ABV. Liquor stores are only allowed to be open from 10am-9pm Monday-Saturday. Can't buy any alcohol from a store after midnight. Bars must stop selling alcohol at 2am. Can't have alcohol shipped to you from outside the city you live in. Dumb, puritanical crap.

Huskee, lets not talk about timing then, lol. If I am not working, well, who knows...
Agreed. I only switch to addin a lil whisky to my coffee cup after I been up several hours, on a weekend day, an all kinda coffeed out.... Course, I git up prob 0530, even on an off day.
2 days outta 7 makes fer 0.2857142857142857% of th time I git to enjoy a drink before at least 1630, or later...
I'm okay with that. Makes me one o them there 'Connie Sewer' thingies, I'd haveta reckon.
    Most of th time, leastwise...

Michigan, a liquor control state Huskee? That's funny. I remember a drug store on Grand River in Detroit called the Owl that would sell liquor 24/7 - after 2AM they would just put it in a paper bag instead of a plastic bag...

(continuing...) I can't get a simple *list* of availability because we're regulated, but the Speedy-Mart has a liquor shelf next to the Pringles. I don't understand it all, very confusing.

I've heard that about PA. We're more lax here than many states in some things, for instance any grocery store or gas station can sell beer & liquor (they of course have to get licensure & so on). It's very convenient. But Buffalo Trace told me they can't send me a list of my local stores that carry their products because we're a "liquor control state"...hmmm, (to be continued...)

And to answer your other question, no. That makes you a connoisseur! The amount you drink, and what time in the morning you start, is the dividing line between alcoholic and connoisseur! Lol.

Not entirely sure. I did ask if that particular bottle that they're sending us would change, and the only thing they told me is it's a promotional offer and that's what's currently available. For what it's worth. Their main menu now has a link to the refer-a-friend program which gives me my custom link that I would share with you guys. Seems to me that particular program is there to stay, but I don't know for sure.

I am taking a bourbon (and spirits) sabbatical. How long does the offer last? If I start now, the sabbatical will end quickly. I am a weak man with no willpower - at least where it comes to bourbon. And whiskey. And rum. And beer. And - wait, do I sound like an alcoholic???

I was excited too. I can't get a lot of those bourbons here. PA has a monopoly on all liquor sales, I shouldn't have been surprised. EVERY liquor sale has to go through a state store. Beer and wine are a little different, but all the liquor runs through the State.
