WSCG-Does a magnet stick to the Stainless Steel?

I am unable to locate one in my area, but I would appreciate it if someone could tell me if a magnet sticks to the various Stainless Steel parts in the WSCG. Thanks in advance for nay help.

Welcome to the Pit. Are you talking more about the WSCGC (Grilling Center with cart) since it has a lot more stainless on it? If your talking about the WSCG see pic, my Fireboard is sticking to the igniter box. However, I believe they discontinued the WSCG for the new Weber Summit Kamado.

Lower grades of stainless steel will attract a magnet because of a lower nickel content and a high steel content.

Thanks to all who took the time to respond. I am interested in the new Model without the Cart (the $999 Model). I wanted to form a baseline for comparison to the newly released Weber Summit Charcoal Kamado. I hope they kept the higher quality Stainless Steel (My concern is to reduce the price by $500 it would probably take more than just removal of the Igniter, a solid in lieu of an air insulated Diffuser, and a cheaper Stand). I know a few years ago they changed the Stainless Steel on their Gas Grills and magnets easily stuck, then two years later I checked again and they went back to the higher quality Stainless. I have no idea what they are using now, as I am not interested in a Gas Grill.
I really want to order this Grill, but only after verifying the Stainless Steel used is 304 (especially on the outside), and how stable the new Stand is (thinner and with no added supports).

            Thanks again for your help.
            Mike

My thoughts are it was overpriced to begin with and had a huge profit margin. I think they didn't want to tick off all the existing customers by just dropping the price a few hundred dollars to spark sales so they made a couple minor adjustments to call it a new model and price it where it should have been priced originally. However, I completely understand your concerns. Unless you're near the ocean, magnetic 430 stainless steel should still last a long time.
