Not much to look at. Just finished makin my first pot of soup in my life. Mebbee show a bowl of the stuff tomorrow. It is 9:40 pm & I’m let it cool outside. I got a late start. Still havin a problem in the motivation end of things as to gettin started in any type of cook other than breakfast.
It is lentil, kale, (yah I know some razzin is comin), veggies, a little clean out the fridge snow peas & shitake mushrooms & Polish sausage. Actually, I think it came out tastin pretty good. Just might start thinkin anew on this soup thing. My wife was a master at soups, so I didn’t even venture in that department. Beginnings! Good job! I'd eat that soup with a smile on my face. Fun making soup and cleaning the frig at the same time.

I love lentils. Just made a lentil dish this evening for dinner. What I made isn't really soup though.

How do you ladle that without spilling???? Tomato is one of my all-time favorites. Give me a dub of sour cream on top and I'm happy.

When we used a wrong size bowl/pot, one of my chefs in culinary school would always say, "if I were you, I would use a smaller bowl" (thick Austrian accent).

I don’t make a lot of soups, but, I should probably change that. Brisket point chili and a Ramen

Black bean soup may not be the cameras favorite, but it’s mighty tasty. RG Black Beans, lime crema, cilantro. Tortilla chips on the side.

Today was supposed to be pork loin in the smoker but mother nature and her 15 " of snow changed those plans. My much better half ran an audible and what else would we have in Massachusetts other than a pot of clam chowder.

Not the most photogenic, but after 13 inches of snow and wind, this Thai red curry coconut soup with rice vermicelli hit the spot and took 15 min to make
